This post shows the ugly truth behind Big Pharma: it’s a business, and people are the guinea pigs that suffer in any event of deficiency or danger.
My blog’s purpose to share my Christian perspective on world affairs, and this one shows the evil of business and corporations pursuing profit at all costs while minimizing any legal and financial consequences.
I’m a free market guy. Knowing the selfish and sinful nature of man, I believe that free market capitalism is the best of the worst worldly systems that allows humans to at least be true to their selfish nature. And I temper that free market bias with the knowledge that if the business world can have a Christian ethic of generosity and selflessness, it may perhaps still be an overall good.
Free markets without that Christian value system is just as bad as communism. I am a capitalist, but as a Christian, my duty and belief is that my overarching obligation is to do good by God as a free market capitalist. This means that not all transactions or business deals has to squeeze maximum profit. I always see the human dimension in business transactions.
